No doubt there were many New Englanders repeating this phrase during this past winter. Snow records in New York and Massachusetts for sure. If they only knew they could make that really happen for so little money, they would probably be packed and on the way down.
Florida is one of the most popular places for purchasing acreage. The weather during the winter is temperate and hot as you like it during the summer months. There are lots available right now very close to the water. The location is up and coming and the growth over the past few years has been phenomenal.
The jobs are plentiful and there simply isnt enough housing to support the labor force, so the majority of them live in Palm Bay (where this land is for sale). The site is close enough to Daytona Beach that commuting is common place. Its also close to St. Augustine, so it is a beautiful area, as you can see in the picture above.
Orlando is only 75 miles away by highway so when you get tired of lounging on the beach just go visit Mickey. There are plenty of golf courses nearby and horseback riding so you dont have to spend every day watching golden sunsets emerge.
This plot has electricity but you will need to add a septic tank and a well. That is actually good news for you. You want complete freedom to build your house where you want it and if the septic system was already installed that would hinder your decision.
Now before you crinkle your nose at the thought of a septic system do your homework. They have improved dramatically and are no longer a stinky back up problem. In fact you wont even know you have one and they keep the monthly bills down too.
Recreation in this area will never be a problem except which one to partake of first. Cocoa Beach, The space station, the list is endless.
If you have a career in aeronautics this is a haven for you. There is Northrup Grumman, NASA and The U.S. Department of defense. Maybe they love the beach too.
Not interested in the beach? How about a beautiful little town called Brookville oozing with historical houses and old oak trees. It was established about 1845 and they have made a point to preserve this gem. Old Brooksville is gorgeous and has some of the oldest oak trees in Florida.
This is the best of all worlds in Florida. Its about 40 miles from a large city (Tampa) and 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, yet it has that small town calmness and ancient beauty. This area has had continuous growth and increasing property values as a result. Hey the taxes are 118.00 dollars, amazing huh?
This lot is on a paved road and electricity is easily accessible. Water by well and sewer by septic tank as is quite common in this area. Mobile homes are permitted here, as long as they are nice and well kept.
There is a place called Fort Desoto and if you ever get to this area, it is a must see. The sea creatures alone are worth the trip. It is loaded with horseshoe crabs and starfish. It was originally a military fort that evolved into a stagecoach stop and now its just a beautiful beach side park for all to enjoy.
If you have any questions or concerns there are several articles on our site for more information about buying property and what you need to know.
The land in Florida goes like hotcakes so if you are interested do it now. Foreign investors have these type properties on their personal list of favorites and they buy in bulk. While they have more hurdles to overcome, they also get bigger incentives from our government. The government makes money and so do they.
Well, you have the facts now all you have to do is decide where you want to live and when you want to move in. If Florida doesnt entice you there are many other options, but if it does get it while you can.
The prices wont get any lower and the properties dont get any prettier. You could wait until the interest rates soar again and pay more than you need to, but hopefully you will decide before that happens.
